As expected, the Colorado Avalanche advance in the first round of the 2008 Stanley Cup playoffs. It was a hard fought 6 game series and the road won't get any easier. But with the veterans Joe Sakic, Peter Forsberg, Adam Foote and Ryan Smyth leading the team the Avs should have a solid shot at the cup this year. Go Avs!

Happy Birthday To Me (a little early)

It's the big four-o (40) this year so I'm getting something special. I've always wanted a Gibson Les Paul and I've decided on this one. I went to Guitar Center and played several Les Pauls and for the price this guitar rocks. It's a Les Paul Standard Double Cut and will match my blue acoustic nicely. The tone is warm and sustain incredible as you would expect from a Les Paul. It plays as smooth as silk. I can't wait for my actual b-day (the 27th) so I can bring it home.

Off To A Good Start

The Stanley Cup playoffs are finally at hand and my favourite team, the Colorado Avalanche, started their run for the cup with an overtime win beating the Minnesota Wild 3-2. Sakic scored the game winning goal. There is talk that this may be his last chance for another Cup. I sure hope not! Go Avs!
