On Homeschooling

Great School Debate

I just had to post this link about homeschooling to enlighten anyone who takes the time to peruse my musings. It further supports my assertion that anything you see on television is simply the story "the man" wants to tell and not the truth of what actually happened. There are some very good comments about homeschooling after the story, as well as some comments from people who were clearly educated in the public school system. Luckily I had the good fortune to have an abundance of exceptional public school teachers throughout my education experience. It is a sad discourse on the current state of public education, however, to read most of the grammatically incorrect and horribly misspelled comments. I also have to wonder if those people posting comments bashing homeschooling realize the youth of the public education system. I'm quite sure many would be surprised to know that 9 of the presidents of our country were home schooled. (George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, John Quincy Adams, William Henry Harrison, Abraham Lincoln, Theodore Roosevelt, Woodrow Wilson, Franklin D. Roosevelt)
